Champagne Deutz was founded by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann in the town of Aÿ in 1838.
Deutz is particularly known for its high quality and classic style. A good third of the grapes come from the house’s own vineyards, and the rest are procured from nearby contract growers. The échelle classification of the vineyards that supply grapes to Deutz is over 95%, the figure is one of the highest in Champagne.
