Champagne Devaux on ollut osa samppanjan historiaa 1800-luvulta lähtien. Veljekset Jules ja Auguste Devaux perustivat talon Epernayssä vuonna 1846. Champagne Devaux has been part of the legendary history of Champagne since the 19th century.
Founded in 1846 by brothers Jules and Auguste Devaux. After the founding the house was managed by three inspiring women, all widowed at a relatively young age. This era of Champagne widows lasted for over 100 years from 1846 until the death Marguerite Marie-Louise, the last Devaux widow, in 1851. Jean-Pol Auguste Devaux, the last in the Devaux line, was without an heir and in 1987 and he entrusted the future of Devaux – a brand with a prestigious past and an exciting future – to Laurent Gillet, President of the “Union Auboise”. Today Devaux is in located in the southern Champagne region of Côte-des-Bar. A less known but highly exciting region, with lovely rolling hills, varied and unique soils and an abundance of unique high-quality Pinot Noir. The Coeur du Bar range from Devaux, is a homage to this unique and inspiring region of Champagne.
