Taittingerin ensi kertaa vuonna 1952 valmistettu Comtes de Champagne oli alueen uraauurtava blanc de blancs prestige cuvée. Paahteisessa viehätysvoimassaan se on edelleenkin yksi tämän kategorian tyylikkäimmistä edustajista. Sen upea silkkisyys ja välitön vetovoima heti julkaisun jälkeen ovat osa Comte de Champagnen hurmaavuutta.

Master Class -luennollaan toimitusjohtaja Clovis Taittinger kertoo perheomisteisen Taittingerin värikkäästä historiasta, perheen visiosta luotsata tätä Champagnen kolmanneksi vanhinta taloa ja sen tavasta tehdä samppanjaa. Pääsemme nauttimaan hänen johdatuksellaan Comtes de Champagnen useista iteraatioista. Himoitun huippuvuosikerran 2008 lisäksi Clovis esittelee meille Comtes de Champagnen harvoin julkaistulta 2011, monumentaaliselta 2012 ja elegantilta 2013 vuosikerralta.

Clovis Taittinger on Pierre-Emmanuel Taittingerin vanhin lapsi. Clovis kasvoi Reimsissä ja opiskeli historiaa Sorbonnessa ja kauppatieteitä Lillen EDHEC:issa. Hän aloitti perheyrityksen leivissä syyskuussa 2007. Clovis edustaa perhettä kansainvälisesti ja hän vastaa myös talon rypäleiden ostoista ja viljelijäkontakteista. Clovis Taittinger nimitettiin talon toimitusjohtajaksi vuoden 2020 alussa.

Among the finest prestige cuvées of Champagne, Taittinger’s 1952-born Comtes de Champagne was a pioneering blanc de blancs prestige cuvée. In its toasty charm, it is still one the most elegant representatives of this category. Its immediate appeal and silky smoothness upon release are some of the many assets of Comtes.
In his Master Class chief executive officer Clovis Taittinger shares the colourful history of this family owned champagne house, the third oldest in Champagne. He sheds light to the family’s vision in guiding the old yet modern house and defines its style in the making. We will get to savour several iterations of Comtes de Champagne. In addition to the coveted top vintage 2008, Clovis will show us Comtes de Champagne from the scarcely-declared 2011, the monumental 2012 and the elegant 2013 harvest years.

Clovis Taittinger is the eldest child of Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger. Clovis grew up in Reims and studied history in Sorbonne and economics at EDHEC in Lille. He joined the family business in September 2007. Clovis represents the family particularly internationally and is also responsible for the purchase of the estate’s grapes and contacts with the growers. Clovis Taittinger was appointed CEO of the house at the beginning of 2020.
