Vuodesta 1848 lähtien viiniä viljelleen A.Bergèren perheen juuret ovat Fèrebriangesissa Vallée du Petit Morinissa, aivan Côte des Blancsin eteläpuolella. Viidennen sukupolven edustaja Adrien Bergère tuntee lukuisat ja monimuotoiset kasvupaikkansa. Terroirin taitajana hän pyrkii tuomaan esiin kunkin viinitarhan täyden potentiaalin.

Vientipäällikkö Maxime Pierlot on omistanut master classinsa kovassa nosteessa olevan Vallée du Petit Morinin ala-alueen Chardonnaylle. Vertailevan maistelun kautta tutkimme kasvupaikan, ajan ja viininvalmistuksen vaikutusta viiniin. Tavoitteena on osoittaa, miten yksi rypälelajike voi tarjota hyvin erilaisia tulkintoja säilyttäen samalla vahvan terroirin identiteetin, jota määrittävät raikkaus ja mineraalisuus.

Maxime Pierlotin intohimo viinejä kohtaan sai alkunsa hänen perheestään ja ystävistään. Keskustelut lapsuudenystävä ja viininviljelijä Adrien Bergèren kanssa innostivat hänet viinin opiskeluun. Maxime hankki BTS Viticulture Enology -tutkinnon, johon kuului harjoittelu Champagne Marc Hebrartin tilalta. Myöhemmin hän suoritti oikeustieteen tutkinnon, kauppatieteiden maisterin tutkinnon ja toisen maisterin tutkinnon viini- ja alkoholilakien saralla. Note! This lecture will be held in English.The A.Bergère family, which have been cultivating vines since 1848, has its roots in Fèrebrianges in Vallée du Petit Morin just south of Côte des Blancs. Representative of the fifth generation of vinegrowers, Adrien Bergère knows his plentiful and diverse terroirs. As an artisans of the terroir, he strives to bring out the potential of his vineyard plots.

Export manager Maxime Pierlot has dedicated his masterclass to Chardonnay and its expression in the up-and-coming Petit Morin Valley. Through a comparative tasting, we explore the influence of soils, time, and winemaking choices. The objective is to demonstrate how a single grape variety can offer very different interpretations while remaining faithful to a strong terroir identity defined by freshness and minerality.

Maxime Pierlot’s passion for wines arose from his family and friends. It was through discussions with his friend Adrien Bergère that he went on to study wine. Maxime obtained his BTS Viticulture Oenology on a work-study basis at Champagne Marc Hebrart estate. Afterwards he completed a law degree, a master’s degree in business and a second master’s degree in wine and spirits law. For eight years now, he has worked with Adrien Bergère at A.Bergère.
